The CAL FIRE Disability Advisory Committee (DAC) advises CAL FIRE in its efforts to address issues of concern to employees with disabilities, such as providing reasonable accommodation both in the selection process and in employment, removing architectural and attitudinal barriers to employment of persons with disabilities, compliance with anti-discrimination laws, and employment policies and practices to enhance the hiring, retention, and promotion of qualified persons with disabilities. The DAC is mandated by the Government Code Section 19795(b).
