Situation Summary

DIXIE FIRE - LASSEN COUNTY EVACUATION WARNING - WEST ZONE

WHAT: DIXIE FIRE - LASSEN COUNTY EVACUATION WARNING - WEST ZONE

WHEN: EFFETIVE IMMEDIATELY

WHERE: Lake Forest Estates and Eagle Lake Road A1 from Hwy 36 north to the county access gate and east to Prattville Road and north to Paiute Creek.

Dixie Fire West Zone:The Dixie Fire continued to progress to the east and south under windy, red flag conditions. Spotting, single and group tree torching all contributed to fire growth. Challenges to the control lines occurred in many divisions, as fuel conditions allowed for steady growth. A dry cold front will move across the incident tonight, shifting winds to the northwest, and eventually to the northeast. Damage assessment is ongoing, and the number of damaged and destroyed structures may change as teams are able to access the fire area safely. Several Evacuation Warnings and Evacuation Orders were issued today in Lassen County, please see below for information affecting your area. California historically experiences some of the mostdevastating wildfires.

Dixie Fire East Zone: The Red Flag Warning remains in effect until 11 PM today, fire weather conditions were moderated due to smoke from the
McFarland Fire in Trinity County. Wind gusts have reached 30 mph and relative humidity is still expected to drop with the approaching cold front. The
Peter’s Creek area has had high fire activity and firefighters continued to actively work to hold the primary control line. Currently, the fire has not
crossed Fruit Growers Boulevard. Personnel, aircraft, and equipment are being utilized to augment and provide additional support to the West Zone where we have continued to have very active fire conditions in the Thompson Peak area.
