DIXIE FIRE – TEHAMA COUNTY EVACUATION ORDER AND EVACUATION WARNING (8/13/21 3:55pm)

WHAT: TEHAMA COUNTY EVACUATION ORDER AND EVACUATION WARNING

WHEN: Effective Immediately

WHERE: EVACUATION ORDER: Zone B17, C17, D17, 227 and 228 Area of Mill Creek, south of Lassen Volcanic Park.

EVACUATION WARNING: Zone B16 The area north of Mineral

NOTE: The town of Mineral is still under an Evacuation Warning

DEFINITIONS:

Evacuation Order: Immediate threat to life. This is a lawful order to leave now. The area is lawfully closed to public access.

Evacuation Warning: Potential threat to life and/or property. Those who require additional time to evacuate, and those with pets and livestock should leave now.

DIXIE FIRE – PLUMAS COUNTY REPOPULATION CANCELED (8/13/21 9:25am)

WHAT: Effective 8:30 a.m. today, the plan to repopulate the following areas have been cancelled out of extreme caution to protect public safety. Overnight, there was an increase in fire activity with a number of spot fires from Johnson’s Grade CR A13 and the highway 36 corridor.

WHEN: Effective Immediately

WHERE: Canceled repopulation to Chester, Lake Almanor West and Prattville From all directions. This includes, Big Meadows, Rocky Point Campground, and the Canyon Dam Boat Launch.

Dixie Fire West Zone: The heavy smoke layer continued to dampen down fire activity overnight. Today, critical fire weather conditions exist. There is an anticipated wind event that will occur today over the fire area. Temperatures will be in the triple digits and winds are forecast to be WSW at 22 MPH with gusts up to 30 MPH. Damage assessment is ongoing, and the number of damaged and destroyed structures may change as teams are able to access the fire area safely. Evacuation Warnings and Evacuation Orders could change at any time. Please see below for information affecting your area. California historically experiences some of the most devastating wildfires.

Dixie Fire East Zone: All lines at Keddie Point and into the North Arm of Indian Valley are holding and are supported by additional firefighters and equipment resources. Fire continues to flank in the Peters Creek area and firefighters have completed prepping Beardsley-Grade Road to the south. The fire progressed to the south and east into the Walker fire scar and remains south of Fruit Growers Boulevard. Firing operations were conducted on Antelope Road to create a buffer in preparation for a south wind event. Control lines continue to hold around Lone Rock and the fire has not progressed in the Sheep fire scar. The fire continues to flank near Coyote Peak and Hamilton Mountain and firefighters will be constructing indirect and contingency lines. Firing operations around Dyer Mountain are ongoing and will continue into
another night shift if conditions allow.

Evacuation Warnings:

• Butte Meadows: This will include Humboldt Rd at Thatcher Ridge, up to Cherry Hill Campgrounds, north to the Butte/Tehama County lines.
• Jonesville area: The Warning will encompass State Route 32 at the Butte/Tehama County line, east to the area of Cherry Hill Campground, southeast to Snag Lake, southwest to Skyway at Bull Creek, north along Skyway to Humboldt Road.
• Snag Lake area: This will include Humbug Summit Rd at the Butte/Plumas County lines, southwest across Snag Lake to Humbug Summit Rd and Skyway. This warning includes the area surrounding High Lakes Rd near the Carr Mine.
• Lake Philbrook area: This area includes Philbrook Lake south to Browns
  Ravine Rd just east of 25N22, east to the Butte/Plumas County lines.

A NEW MANDATORY EVACUATION ORDER HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR Susan River Canyon/Cheney Creek area south of Hwy 36 from Willard Hill east to Korver Rd and south to the intersection of Cheney Cr. Rd and dirt Gold Run Rd.

Mandatory Evacuations remain in place for:

• Clear Creek, Westwood, and Pine Town area south of Hwy 36 from the Lassen County line east to Moonlight Ranch Rd.
• Lassen National Forest south of Hwy 36 to the Lassen County line including Hamilton Mtn., Coyote Peak, and Indicator Peak.
• Walker Lake area south of Moonlight Rd.
• Area east of Mtn. Meadows Reservoir and south of Hwy 36 to Coppervale.
• South of Hwy 44 from the County line east to McCoy Flat and south to Hwy 36 including Silver Lake, Juniper Lake, and the Caribou Wilderness Area.
• North of Hwy 36 east of A21.

Evacuation Warning:

NEW EVACUATION WARNINGS HAVE BEEN ISSUED FOR 

• South of Hwy 36 from Devil’s Corral east to Britt Ln and Thumper Hill and south to Cheney Creek Rd
• Diamond Mountain area from Forest Service Rd 29NO2 south to the Lassen County line

• West of Hwy 395 from Janesville Grade south to the Stuart Ln. intersection
  and west to the Lassen County line.
• Janesville area west of Hwy 395 from Bass Hill to Janesville Grade west to the Lassen County line including the area south of Bass Hill and the dirt portion of Wingfield Rd on the Janesville Side.
• Area south of Hwy 44, north of Hwy 36, west to Hog Flat Reservoir.
