Current Situation

Situation Summary

Fire activity remained minimal today with the majority of the heat and smoke residing from yesterday’s burning operation.  Firefighters are working to create and reinforce containment lines.  Established control lines continue to hold and mop up and patrol will continue while suppression repair strategy is implemented.

Road Closures

Amador County Road Closures

  • Eastbound Electra Road at Hwy 49. Tabeaud Road at Ponderosa Lane, Gold Strike Road at Tabeaud Road and Clinton Bar Road at Tabeaud Road.

Calaveras County Road Closures

  • Highway 26 and lower Dorray Road and Highway 26 one half mile west of Rich Gulch Road.

  • Evacuation Orders are in place for: Areas containing Gold Strike Road and Clinton Bar Road.
  • The following areas have been reduced to Evacuation Warnings:
    • The areas of Amador Lane, Canyon View Drive, Fig Tree Lane, Timber Ridge Road, Dunshee Road and part of Ponderosa Way.
  • Evacuation Warnings are in place for:
    • The areas of Amador Lane, Canyon View Drive, Fig Tree Lane, Timber Ridge Road, Dunshee Road and part of Ponderosa Way, south side of Highway 88 and Highway 26 from French Gulch Road to the Calaveras County line.
