Current Situation

Situation Summary

The Fork fire remained active throughout the day with uphill runs, isolated torching and short range spotting. Vegetation is extremely receptive to embers and fuel moisture remains historically low. Firefighters continue to construct and reinforce control lines and defend structures. Steep rugged terrain is hampering suppression efforts. A damage assessment team has been activated.
