Situation Summary
Minimal fire activity was observed overnight. An excessive heat warning remains in effect until 8 p.m. this evening. Travelers on Highway 79 may notice signs of smoldering within the interior of the fire area during daytime hours as the high temperatures are combined with low relative humidity and increased winds. Fire suppression repair crews are making good progress and will continue work throughout the day.
