Current Situation

Situation Summary

Monday, October 28th, at approximately 3 a.m., CAL FIRE Tulare Unit had fire burn over the containment line of the Merritt Prescribed Burn northwest of Springville and create the now burning Campbell Fire. The fire is burning south of Yokohl Valley Drive in the Lewis Creek Drainage. Firefighters are currently working to contain the slop over. The rate of spread is currently slow. There is no current threat to infrastructure or any evacuations.
