Situation Summary

The cause of the Veterans Fire has been identified as mechanical issues from a vehicle. Throughout the night, crews have been working diligently to increase containment. Significant progress has been made in mitigating threats to structures and powerlines in the area. As a result, all evacuation warnings have been lifted, indicating a reduced risk to nearby communities. Today, fire resources will continue to strengthen control lines around the fire perimeter and conduct mop-up operations to extinguish remaining hot spots.
