Current Situation
Situation Summary
Update 10/28/24: Temperatures expected to be several degrees below normal. As a low-pressure system moves through the area, higher relative humidity will help to temporarily moderate fire activity. Wetting rain (0.10 inches or greater) and isolated thunderstorms are possible over the fire area. Spotting and spread potential will be temporarily reduced. Potential challenges to the retardant check lines in and above Horse Creek from rollout and the recent slopover on the east side of Horse Creek at its confluence with the East Fork Kaweah are less likely while cooler weather and higher relative humidity remain over the fire area.
