Current Situation

Situation Summary

The fire has mainly been creeping and smoldering in rugged terrain within the fire perimeter. Crews continue suppression repair and work on establishing and strengthening control lines. Today, weather remains hot and dry with temperatures in the 90-degrees, though a slight cooling trend will occur in the fire area over the next several days with expected 35 mph wind gusts on Wednesday. Damage inspections are ongoing and are at 90% completion with 78 inspections concluded.

The public is reminded to stay vigilant on current fire conditions. Follow road closures and evacuation orders. Avoid downed electrical wires and report them to PG&E. Fire crews and utility companies will be remaining in the area in an effort to mitigate any remaining fire concerns, restore utilities, and bolster infrastructure.
