Current Situation

Situation Summary

Firefighters worked throughout the day building and strengthening containment lines. Overnight, crews will have an advantage with cooler temperatures in the 70s and 80s. Tactical firing operations in target areas will occur, tying the fire's edge into established containment lines. Firefighters will continue mopping up and cooling hot spots near the fire perimeter. Weather will remain hot and dry through the weekend, with some mild relief in temperatures from Sunday into next week.
