Current Situation

Situation Summary

On Tuesday, firefighters were transported by helicopter to the northern part of the fire zone. They used infrared data from aircraft, which provided heat signatures to help locate and address hot spots. Crews are continuing with suppression repair and are working on establishing and strengthening control lines. Today’s weather remained hot and dry, with temperatures in the near or below 90s. However, a slight cooling trend is expected over the next few days, along with wind gusts reaching up to 35 mph on Wednesday.

Damage inspections have been completed, with 78 inspections conducted. The public is advised to stay informed about current fire conditions, follow road closures and evacuation orders, and avoid downed electrical wires, reporting any issues to PG&E. Fire crews and utility companies will continue working in the area to address any remaining fire concerns, restore utilities, and strengthen infrastructure.

The updated acreage of the fire is now 17,600, based on new aerial data.
