Current Situation

Situation Summary

The Line Fire is very active and spreading in receptive fuels. It was originally reported in the area of Baseline Street and Aplin Street on September 5. More resources are arriving from across the state. Vegetation is critically dry and temperatures reached more than 100 degrees Saturday with relative humidity dipping to the mid-teens. There's a chance for thunderstorms in the area Sunday. There is an Excessive Heat Warning across the region that is expected to last through the weekend. New Evacuation Orders and Warnings continue to be issued. There are currently 8,733 structures threatened, including single and multi-family homes, commercial buildings, and other minor structures. A Damage Inspection Team (DINS) has been ordered.

Evacuation Orders

Evacuation Orders have been issued by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department for the following areas:

  • The area from Calle Del Rio to Hwy 38, including Greenspot Road North
  • All underdeveloped land east of Highway 330 to Summertrail Place and north of Highland Avenue
  • The areas of Running Spring east of Highway 330 and south of Highway 18 
  • The communities of Running Springs and Arrow Bear Lake 
  • The area east of Orchard Road to Cloverhill from Highland Avenue north to the foothills

Evacuation Warnings

  • Neighborhoods east of Church St, north of Highland Ave.
  • Neighborhoods east of Weaver, north of Greenspot to the Iron Bridge.
