Current Situation
Situation Summary
Crews made significant progress yesterday on hot spots within the fire perimeter. The fire is now 75% contained. Some of the priorities for todays’ operational period include areas around Woodland College, and Obsidian Middle School
Preliminary damage reports show;
- 33 residential structures destroyed
- 6 residential structures damaged
- 22 outbuildings destroyed
- 80 vehicles destroyed
As we gain containment on the Boyles Fire, we urge members of our community to remain vigilant in fire safety. National weather service released a weather advisory for Lake County this morning. “Breezy winds and low RH values will create locally critical fire weather conditions for Lake County”.
