Current Situation
Situation Summary
The Spring Incident was first reported in the evening on Monday, May 19, 2025, at approximately 9:00 PM The fire started in the Spring Hill area on the northern edge of Mount Shasta City (Siskiyou County), near Spring Hill Drive. The fire area consists of mixed timber and brush. Fire crews from across Siskiyou County responded to the incident.
Mount Shasta PD issued evacuation warnings as a precaution on Monday night. Using the Genasys/Zonehaven emergency alert system, authorities put the zone area MTS-6155 on a warning.
