Current Situation

Situation Summary

The Ranch Fire has transitioned to patrol status. Over the next week, firefighters will conduct daily inspections along the fire's perimeter to ensure no hot spots remain and to address any flare-ups that may occur.

With containment objectives largely met, the Apple Valley Fire Protection District and CAL FIRE have concluded their roles in Unified Command. The incident is now fully managed by the Bureau of Land Management – California Desert District.
