Situation Summary

Wind and terrain played a significant role in the spread of the fire which burned in the grass, south of Hwy 152 moving east into Merced County. Firefighters have continued to make significant progress on containment and ground resources will remain at scene through the night and into tomorrow.

Caltrans and CHP continue to keep one lane of eastbound Hwy 152 closed.
