Current Situation

Situation Summary

Firefighters are at scene at a vegetation fire with multiple start points along Highway 166, 30 miles east of Santa Maria and just west of the recent Madre Fire perimeter. This fire is within the Los Padres National Forest. Ground and air resources are actively suppressing all fires with additional resources on order.

Fire is burning actively on both sides of the highway with more active spread on the south side. For evacuation info visit: readysbc.org.

California Interagency Incident Management Team 5 (CIIMT 5) is expected to assume command of the incident on 8/3/25 at 6:00am.
