Situation Summary

Overnight, firefighters were engaged in suppression efforts and were supported by three night-flying helicopters conducting water drops on the fire. The dozers on site worked to re-establish fire access roads as well as constructing contingency lines. Utilizing fire history and recently re-established dozer lines from Napa Firewise continues to aid with access and control.
Working the fire overnight was 53 engines, eight hand crews, eight dozers, four water tenders, three helicopters and a total of 350 personnel.
Challenges presented include accessing the edge of the fire, as it is burning in remote and un-populated areas with limited access. Firefighter safety will be an emphasis once again Friday, with temperatures expected to reach into the upper 90's.
The incident has been well supported with resources continuing to surge into the area. We anticipate more resources to arrive later in the day Friday.
The North Bay All-Hazard Incident Management Team has been activated to assist with operations on this fire.
Evacuation Warnings and Orders remain in place.
