Current Situation
Situation Summary
Recent hot and dry conditions brought soaring temperatures in the mid to upper 90s. Winds are expected to increase in the afternoon with gusts up to 20 mph. Crews have been seeing minimal fire activity. Smoldering may continue from inside the fire area.
Firefighters are continuing to maintain and reinforce current containment lines and are now conducting fire suppression repair efforts.
Better mapping and verification of the fire perimeter is responsible for the reported increase in acreage. Fire equipment and crews will be active on the roads near the fire area. Please continue to use caution on the roads.
