Situation Summary
On August 22, 2025, the Little Fire ignited along the side of SR-178, approximately 5 miles west of Borel Road. The fire has exhibited moderate behavior, including short uphill runs, flanking, and backing. It remained active into the evening hours, driven by steep and rugged terrain that continues to challenge suppression efforts.
Fire crews are engaged in direct handline construction to slow the fire's spread. Road closures are currently in effect in the area. A Tulare County Type 3 Incident Management Team (IMT) is mobilizing to support ongoing operations.
