Current Situation

Situation Summary

Over the past four days, CAL FIRE Siskiyou Unit has successfully contained and controlled 35 fires within the State Responsibility Area. Our resources continue to assist the Klamath National Forest (KNF) and Shasta-Trinity National Forest (SHF) with both new and ongoing incidents within their Direct Protection Areas.

Containment on the Lightning Complex has reached 80%, with crews focused on fire suppression repair, securing containment lines, and monitoring for remaining hot spots. We extend our gratitude to all the firefighters, both near and far, who contributed to quickly stopping these fires, as well as to the many personnel working behind the scenes to support the response.

* Grade- 4 acre Contained. Staffed with 2 Engine, 2 Hand Crews, 3 Water Tenders and 2 Dozers. Heavy mop up in timber.

Red Flags for thunderstorms remain in effect till this evening for abundant lightning on dry fuels in Siskiyou County.
