Current Situation

Situation Summary

Fire is well-established in extremely steep and complex topography, burning in a remote area with challenging access. The fire is within the 2017 Garza Fire footprint. The vegetation is composed of short, cured grass at lower elevations, transitioning to grass and brush in the middle elevations, and grass and trees at the upper elevations.


A cooling trend is expected to begin Friday.


CAL FIRE Incident Management Team 1 assumed command of the incident at 10:00am Thursday.
