Current Situation

Situation Summary

No new fire growth has been observed with suppression efforts limiting hot spots using air and ground resources. Smoldering and deep-seated heat continues to be found on all fires. A slow cool trend continued today with high temperatures topping out in the high 80s and low 90s.
For the Calaveras County 2-7 Fire, all evacuation orders have been downgraded to evacuation warnings. Evacuation warnings will remain in place until further notice.
Residents in these areas are now permitted to return to their homes; however, they are advised to remain alert and prepared to evacuate again should conditions change.
Damage Inspection Teams (DINS) continue to assess all areas where structures have been impacted. Totals will adjust as these teams evaluate the affected area.
